Data Logging and Cloud Storage

my Powerchair allows data that is logged in the powerchair's electronic controller (Data Logging) to be sent to the Cloud (Cloud storage).

Data Logging is the storage of technical information and service provider contact details within the memory of a powerchair's electronic controller, for the purposes of:

  • Provision of up-to-date service contact details.
  • Detailed and remote diagnosis of any problems with the powerchair.
  • Analysis of duration of various types of use the powerchair.
  • A history of the electronic modules fitted to the powerchair.
  • A history of the software used to control the powerchair.

The data may be accessed by Curtiss-Wright (the manufacturer of the electronic controller of the powerchair), the powerchair manufacturer and the powerchair provider, and can be used for efficient diagnosis and repair of a defective powerchair, and to provide information for use in the design of future generations of powerchair.

None of this data is considered to be personal to the user of the powerchair and will not be shared by Curtiss-Wright to any party not already in possession of the data.

Cloud storage is data which has been logged by the powerchair's electronic controller being sent to a remote location, from where it can be viewed by authorised parties. The remote location is referred to as a Cloud server.

On the Cloud server, the data will be referenced by the powerchair's serial number and the electronic controller's serial number.

The stored data will be used to facilitate:

If you wish to have the data removed, please contact your powerchair provider.
